Allana Jones

Allana is a Realtor with REMAX Gold from Rocklin, CA.  She is a mother of four children and a young cancer survivor.  She was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, commonly referred to as RMS, at the early age of 28. After surviving this diagnosis she has since overcame divorce as well as two other major physical issues including skin cancer and a benign brain tumor which was removed in 2015.  Throughout all of these physical and emotional challenges she earned her business degree and started a new career as a Realtor AND has been raising 4 children currently under the age of 13.  She speaks about her mother as being her inspiration as well as her second husband of 12 years.  Both of these people were her champions along with her extended family and friends.  This coupled with her strong perseverance, and fortitude has allowed Allana to push forward in her life.  She recently participated in a wonderfully inspiring adventure with “Athletes 4 Cancer” a non-profit organization that harnesses the healing power of the elements with the determination of the human spirit to benefit lives affected by cancer.  This organization focuses on renewing, rebuilding, and restarting lives after cancer through outdoor adventure.  Allana has said that this experience “changed my life.”

Dale Griffiths Stamos

Dale Griffiths Stamos is an award-winning playwright, Emmy nominated writer, screenwriter and writing teacher and consultant. Her full-length and short plays have been produced in the United States and abroad. Her short film, Match Made has been an official selection in four festivals, winning Audience Award twice.

Her recently completed short film Lost Music appeared at Cinema at the Edge Film Festival in July 2014, and received their jury award for short. It is also an official selection of the Sedona International Film Festival and the Los Angeles Women's International Film Festival. Her feature screenplay, One White Crow, adapted from her award-winning play, is an official selection of The New Hope Film Festival Script Competition. Her full-length play, One White Crow opened April 27, 2013 at Edgemar Center for the Arts for a six week run where it received enthusiastic audience response and glowing reviews.  An earlier version of the play premiered at Arena Players Repertory Theatre, Long Island, NY in 2011. Love Struck, an evening of her one-acts about love was produced at the Beverly Hills Playhouse, Beverly Hills, CA, in 2012, and Thicker Than Water, an evening of her one-acts about family was produced at Promenade Playhouse in Santa Monica, CA in 2011. Both evenings starred the iconic Emmy-winning actress, Barbara Bain, and garnered rave reviews. Her play with music, Blue Jay Singing in the Dead of Night, received a workshop production at Pacific Resident Theatre, Venice, CA, in 2011.

Her 2006 production, Dialectics of the Heart, starred three time Emmy-nominated actress Sharon Lawrence and played to sold-out houses. Her ten-minute play, The Unintended Video, won the coveted Heideman award from Actors Theatre of Louisville and was produced there, and has been produced worldwide since. As a screenwriter, Dale adapted two of her short plays into films. The first, Match Made was an official selection at four film festivals, winning Audience Award at two of them. The recently completed Lost Music has appeared at Cinema at the Edge festival where it won their Jury Award.

Dale is also dedicated to teaching writing, with a specialty in story structure. She feels that talent may be something a writer is born with, but craft is the component necessary to shape that talent. Through her workshops and individual manuscript consultations, Dale seeks to help writers of all genres find the most compelling way to tell their stories. Dale teaches a story structure workshop yearly at the Santa Barbara Writers Conference and has presented talks on story structure to the Southern California Writers Association, The Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights, Cal Arts, and the California Writers Club.
